How did you get into the floral world?

My mom introduced me to floral design, I grew up watching her! When I had a chance to try it myself I went for it! 15 years later I started my own business.

Tell me about your most favorite floral piece you ever created?

Don’t make me choose!

Why do you love wedding floral?

Because every couple is different, and seriously who wouldn’t want to make someone’s day special beautiful with flowers!

How much would you tell brides to expect to spend on their own bouquet?

Bridal bouquets start at $125 but the average is usually $175.

What does the average couple invest in flowers?

Hit and miss but this years average so far is $3500-5000. Some spend less, some spend more.

What is something you wish couples knew about hiring a florist?

Trust them, give them your ideas but in the end trust them!

What’s your favorite flower to work with?

Lisianthus is by far my favorite!

How would you describe your style?

I try to be whatever my couples want me to be but I tend to lean towards whimsical.

What would be your dream wedding to design floral for?

A bride who tells me her budget and lets me do what I want with it, isn’t that every florists dream?

How far in advance do you recommend couples book their florist?

12-9 months prior to wedding

What do you recommend couples do with their floral after their wedding?

Personal choice, some take them home and some request me to clean up. When I’m asked to clean up I normally will take to a nursing home or to a cemetery.

How should their wedding flowers be taken care of once they have them for the wedding day?

If it’s hot they totally need to have their water levels checked! Otherwise if you throw your bouquets in the air for pictures realize that it’s not the florists fault that they wilt or break 😉

What are your favorite photos to get of your flowers?

Bridal bouquets with or without the bride 😉
